SMART LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM IN BYDGOSZCZ

Modern technological solutions place Bydgoszcz on the list of cities striving for the honorable name of Smart City. Bydgoszcz promotes low-emission investments, environmentally friendly and saving electricity. To provide residents with efficient, safe and environmentally friendly lighting, the city decided to replace street luminaires with modern LED luminaires with an intelligent lighting control system developed by Apanet Green System. It was the largest project of this type in Central and Eastern Europe.

Thanks to the modernization of the installation and the use of an intelligent lighting control system, city lighting work schedules have been implemented, each fault related to the functioning of the luminaires is visible in the superior system, and the company providing the service has gained a friendly tool to obtain up-to-date information about lighting.

The lighting modernization project is carried out in many stages, and currently the project includes:

  • Replacement of 10. 000 street luminaires with LEDs with an intelligent control system,
  • Reduction of electricity consumption by 62%
  • 55% decrease in operating costs
  • Reduction of CO2 emissions by over 55%
  • Significant increase in safety

LIGHTING INSTALLATION MODERNIZATION PROJECT IN KĘDZIERZYN-KOŹLE

The implementation of the intelligent system was another initiative of the City Hall, which, inter alia, provides full electronic service for residents, provides a free information system, has an implemented air quality monitoring system and a program ensuring residents safety – “Safer Together”.

Thanks to the modernization of the installation and the use of an intelligent lighting control system, city lighting work schedules have been implemented, each fault related to the functioning of the luminaires is visible in the superior system, and the company providing the service has gained a friendly tool to obtain up-to-date information about lighting.

The supplied lighting control system enables the monitoring and control of over 2,900 luminaires.

INTELLIGENT LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM IN TYCHY

There is no doubt that Tychy is today a leader in the use of Smart City technology in Upper Silesia. The implementation of the Intelligent Traffic Management System worth over PLN 120 million, which will improve public transport and increase road safety, is nearing the end. The Tychy Water Park, the Athletics Stadium and a new canoe harbor on Paprocańskie Lake were also built.
The project to implement an intelligent lighting control system in Tychy has been carried out in stages since 2014 and currently allows the monitoring and control of 6 000 lighting luminaires.
The solution consists of LED luminaires of the Polish manufacturer ROSA, luminaire drivers and APANET drivers as well as Streetlight.Vision monitoring and control software.

In addition to the obvious benefits of saving energy costs (by 60%) and the cost of repairing faults, the project has significantly reduced CO2 emissions and improved road safety.

SAFE AND ENERGY-SAVING AMBER HIGHWAY THANKS TO THE INTELLIGENT APANET LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM

A1 Motorway – known as the Amber Motorway is the only Polish motorway with a longitudinal course.
Apanet had the honor to participate in the modernization of lighting on the motorway route and at the Sośnica-Maciejów and Gliwice-Wschód junctions. They are currently the largest communication nodes in Poland, therefore the management board of GDDiKA demanded a reliable system with high quality parameters.

In the system configured communication between the elements of the road lighting control system based on open protocols.

The system allows for automatic control of lighting fixtures depending on maintenance needs, weather conditions or traffic intensity.

At the Sośnica junction, weather stations and radars for traffic measurements are also used to control the lighting – adapted to real-time measurements and registration of traffic parameters. Measurement data is sent to the control system, which automatically adjusts the appropriate lighting level, thus reducing energy consumption. In the event of increased traffic or bad weather conditions, the luminaires glow with greater intensity, which increases the safety of drivers.
Currently, the A1 motorway is illuminated by over 6 000 intelligently controlled luminaires.

INTELLIGENT LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE NORTH BYPASS JĘDRZEJÓW – DK 78

The project of intelligent lighting control of the Jędrzejów bypass included the control of 320 luminaires and allowed for full control of individual lamps in the entire area from the management system level, permanent energy audit of the entire network, instant information about failures, automatic reading of the level of traffic intensity (induction loops) and adjustment of the level to it illuminance – in the case of reduced traffic intensity, the lamp power is reduced, which generates significant savings without limiting functionality.

This ensures better illumination of particularly dangerous places.

SMART LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM IN TSSE

The project of intelligent lighting control in TSSE (Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone) consisted in the modernization of the existing lighting installation with control.
The controllers was mounted in lighting poles, without interfering with the existing wiring or luminaires.
Thanks to this solution, lighting consumes 33% less electricity, guaranteeing full control of individual lamps throughout the area from the management system, constant energy audit of the entire network, immediate information about failures and measuring the operation time of individual lamps, which allows you to plan the replacement of light sources.

MODERNIZATION OF LIGHTING IN LEGNICA

The project of Sudecka Street was created thanks to cooperation with Luxon, a producer of high-quality LED equipment.

The challenge in the project was the fact that the lighting poles were placed on one side of the road, additionally at considerable distances from each other.

To properly illuminate the road and pavement, Luxon used very efficient lighting fixtures, and Apanet ensured full control and the ability to adjust the lighting power to the current conditions.
